Nomad Watches Line Collection

“Another beautiful collection from the Scottish watch brand in collaboration with Samuel Wilkinson.

A meticulous approach to both form and function has resulted in a watch that neither compromises on detail nor craftsmanship.

Alan and Kelsey of Nomad teamed up with esteemed industrial designer Samuel Wilkinson to develop the design for the Line Collection. Created for the individual who values refined modern design infused with classic, honest craftsmanship, both watches are deceptively simple in appearance but meticulous in their detailing.

The Line timepieces are designed as precise tools for measuring time. Each face features typical numerical, minute and hour markings but re-arranged in playful compositions to add a fresh contemporary look.

The Line collection features two variants, Inline and Outline.

Inline moves the all the markings towards the centre of the dial leaving a clean outer band. Numbers 12, 3, 6, 9 combine with the interplay of positioning and line weight of the hour and minute increments.

Outline combines hour markings and all 12 numbers away from the edge of the dial, setting them within an array of elongated minute increments.

The Line series has a textured stainless steel casing designed to mimic a cast iron pot. The strap is fashioned from organic Swedish leather, which is attached to the casing via a cleverly engineered stainless steel back plate and fastened with a custom clasp. Inside a Swiss movement has been included to provide superb reliability and accuracy. The design juxtaposes clean lines and soft arcs, creating a bold contemporary silhouette complemented by a bevelled mineral crystal glass and a clean graphic dial.
